The tattoo industry is growing in an unprecedented rate, a Harris survey estimates that over twenty percent of all American house holds, that’s forty five million Americans, have one or more tattoos. There are over 20,000 tattoo parlors operating in the United States with a least one new parlor opening each and every day. The cosmetic and permanent make-up industry is also growing in leaps and bonds. Tribal Ink is working hard to be part of this growth. Tribal Ink has broken the coverage down into three distinct choices.

 Barbed wire: A simple liability policy 300,000/500,000 for the small tattoo, body piercing shop, and shops that perform cosmetic tattoos and permanent make-up. Starting premium is around $750 a year for tattoo parlors earning well under $150,000 in gross revenue and with up to 5 Artist / Piercers or up to 8 Artist. If you are a piercing shop with one piercing artist the starting premium is slightly more. This simple policy does not cover personal property. But can be altered to add coverage for personal property and land lords if need be. Please fill out the attached quote.  Tramp Stamp: By far the coverage most tattoo parlors, cosmetic tattoo shops, and piercing shops will fall under. It offers liability coverage from 500,000/1,000,000 and above. Starting premium is around $1200 a year with Professional Coverage for tattoo parlors slightly higher for a piercing shop, earning under $300,000 in gross revenue. In this coverage you may have up to 3 artists. If your parlor or shop grows you can add more artist or piercers for additional premium without rewriting the whole policy. This policy will include personal property coverage upwards to $10,000 and will also include coverage for a land lord or additional insured. In this policy you can also add additional coverage for defense inside or outside the limits and additional premium for each trade show you may choose to attend and perform your art or piercing.  The Dragon: For the tattoo parlors, piercing shops and even the cosmetic and permanent make-up shops that earn in excess of $300,000 in gross revenue and need liability coverage for over 500,000/1,000,000 and up to 3,000,000 if need be. Starting premium on this policy varies based on the required coverage and the rating. The Dragon is a totally custom policy for the tattoo artist or body piercer that not only owns the property that they are located in but want coverage for that property. The Dragon is for shops with 5 or more artist or piercers and have personal property in excess of a $50,000. The Dragon can be structured to include Workman’s Comp Coverage, Hired and Non Owned Auto Liability, Personal Umbrella, Trade Shows, and Professional Liability Defense outside the limits.
